Use a Mac without a monitor
A Mac mini with nothing plugged in gets a Retina display of its own.
You don't need a dummy plug. When no monitor is attached, Tele gives the Mac a Retina display of its own, and its windows open as usual. The Mac stays awake and unlocked while another Mac is connected.
What it needs
- Someone logged in. Tele doesn't run before login.
- An unlocked session. Tele can't unlock a Mac.
- The password after a restart, if FileVault is on.
Tele can't wake a sleeping Mac. It never stores the login password.
Unlock with Screen Sharing… lasts only while that session is open. macOS then locks the Mac again.
