Tele can't see my other Mac

Most of the time it's the network, or sharing that's still off.

Tele has no accounts, no cloud and no relay server, so both Macs have to reach each other directly. Check these in order.

Check both Macs

1. Same network. Both Macs must be on the same network. Tele can't connect over the internet.
2. macOS 26 or later. Both Macs need it.
3. Tele is running. Open Tele on both Macs. It doesn't run before someone logs in.
4. Share this Mac is on. Turn it on in Tele on the Mac you want to open windows from. It's off until you do.

If the other Mac is asleep or locked

Tele can't wake a sleeping Mac and can't unlock one. While another Mac is connected, the sharing Mac stays awake. If its screen is locked, Tele says so and offers Unlock with Screen Sharing…
